This was just ok. Laughed out loud a few times, and an interesting premise. But it dragged in parts.

This is a harmless, fun, silly, but ultimately pointless novel. It owes something to Forrest Gump, something to Don Quixote but what it reminded me of most was Pat Hutchins’ Follow That Bus! series of books for children. There are no ‘laugh out loud’ moments, and no character depth or progression. But it’s light and fun, in spite of several violent deaths, weapons of mass destruction and a lot of vodka.

DID NOT FINISH

Made it to about 47% but the language in the historical parts was too challenging for me in swedish. I would have liked it too be half the length and only his adventures of the present. Maybe someday I'll return to it!

Fine. Bits of fun but nothing much profound and the history bits drag

Just really boring

An interesting if convoluted and only slightly compelling story of a ragtag bunch of murders and the inept police who pursue them along with a complete biography of the 100-year-old man.
