The story of Allan Karlsson is convenient and completely ridiculous. Sometimes it rambles on a bit, much like a 100-year-old man telling a story. Still, I thought it was a lot of fun and really enjoyed it.

It's ok. There are a few too many ridiculous turns for the plots own good, it becomes a bit tedious as it is more or less the same set of plot events happening over various different key events of history. Enjoyed some of the characters although they are all a bit 2 dimensional. It's a fine read, but other books in a similar genre have done it better since.
Writing style was not for me, I didn't like any of the characters due to the writing style keeping me disengaged and I couldn't face the thought of reading another 300 pages just to say I'd read it for book club. Dnf with no regrets.
