Le livre rehausse le film et vice versa. C’est une drôle de chose, la transmédialité.
lagi. mungkin karena buku jepang, awalnya susah banget buat catch-up sama novelnya. belum nonton filmnya. belum pernah tahu karya-karya shinkai makoto sebelumnya. tapi, lalu, lumayan bisa terhanyut kisahnya. romansa remaja berbumbu fantasi yang wow... out of nowhere. ermm... meskipun beberapa adegan/situasi mengingatkan ini dan itu dari cerita yang lain (misalnya everyday-nya david levithan, etc), akhirnya tenggelam juga di kisah ini.

At this point in my life I have almost zero interest in reading about romance, but somehow this particular star-crossed, fairy tale one got under my skin and I love it -- sweet and utterly adorable. And, also, something I will never consume in its other formats because I don't want to just sit and cry, thanks very much.
