I read this pretty much in one go so safe to say I enjoyed it. I did find it a little bit predictable and figured it out early on but it was fun seeing it all play out.
I really liked the setting of Lake Garda, somewhere I have visited, it made a welcome escape from a wintry Scotland. The oppressive heat and isolated setting added to the tension.
It's well written and there's an interesting mix of characters but if I had one niggle it's that their behaviour sometimes felt a little off. The story did rely on some suspension of belief as the actions of the characters both individually and as a group didn't always make sense.
Overall though this was a great page turner of a read

Totally overrated, horrible characters, ultimately easy to guess plot. I don’t get the hype for this book at all I’m afraid

Guessed the murderer within a couple pages of meeting the character. Almost all characters are unlikeable and bitches. They are all mean to eachother and almost all seem to be involved in something illegal??
