Guessed the murderer within a couple pages of meeting the character. Almost all characters are unlikeable and bitches. They are all mean to eachother and almost all seem to be involved in something illegal??

Loved the character pov switches and the pace of the book. However I called the murderer from very early on. It was a fun fast paced, mystery that was great for a long travel day. The setting was beautiful and writing good.

I liked the scenery (Italy, lake, old money family? I’m in)
I had more hard time with characters, I don’t know if it was the lack of description details for many aspects of the book (I keep confusing some who had similar functions aka a couple friend of the married one) or if it’s because I liked none of them except Robyn and Toby if I had to choose.
I guessed the culprit before the end, which hardly happens because I usually let myself dive into the atmosphere and wait to be surprised. I did not get it early in the book as other reviewers said but still.
Spoilers part:
It was mainly due to one or two sentences insisting on what the culprit should have as characteristics and I guess also because at some point the narration insists on that everyone else had a strong motive to hate Eva
On the story development itself I got disappointed because the claims were saying « plot twist after plot twist » and I did not find any?

Thoroughly enjoyable book, super easy to read and kept me entertained! Not the least predicatable murder mystery I've ever read but interesting enough despite this
This was more a pallet cleanser between fantasy books for me. I think it would be a fun Netflix film but it kind of dragged as a book. I was able to figure out who did it and why before it was revealed which was a bit disappointing.

3.75 - this was pretty entertaining and such a quick read but I guessed some of the things that were going to happen
