Well, I have to admit, this wasn't my favorite Lily Gold book. I'm usually a huge fan. Love her writing, love the banter between characters, and love the characters. But for me, this book just missed the mark.
The banter was pretty good! It felt a little repetitive at times, but Lily is great at writing a fun witty sarcastic female main character and fun men. I loved getting little bits about her previous characters inserted into this story. But, unlike her other books, I didn't really love the characters in this story. They all kind of fell flat for me. Instead of giving me depth, and really seeing connection between the characters, it felt like forced tropes and forced interactions. I just couldn't really get into it.
The spice as always was pretty good. In Lily's reverse harems she is big on group play and we definitely got that in this book. We got men who all have different kinks and behaviors, and that is always fun to read.
The plot for this book sounded great, but just needed up being really predictable, and at times a little, I dunno, like over done? The hot girl next door who was always a friend and also happens to be a lingerie designer, who has a horrible time dating and can never find a boyfriend, so let's fake date and help her, but they all end up falling for her. And lets post all about it on our podcast. It's the plot to so many movies from the 90s and 2000s, the only difference is the reverse harem aspect. I just wish there was a little more.
All in all, still love Lily's books. And I will be patiently waiting to devour the next.

I was highly entertained by this story and it was just the right kind of lighthearted, trashy romance I needed to unwind after a couple of very busy months.
That said... it's not good literature. Also, the words "squelching" and "frothing" should, at the latest, not survive the editing stage when writing intimate scenes.
Still, a very fun time of fantasy fulfilment from having many male lovers, to intimacy and love, to showing the people from high school that you are living your best life.
I recommend keeping your expectations low and enjoying the ride.

For the most part, I really enjoyed this book. Layla, Zack, Josh & Luke definitely gave off New Girl vibes. Layla was so put together everywhere in her life except for romantically, but thankfully her neighbors offered to help her by teaching her to date. Usually I think that trope is weird--no woman should need a woman to teach her how to be in a relationship. It just seems so condescending. But it worked in this situation, maybe since there were three of them and it was all tied into their podcast.
My favorite parts were definitely the podcast and the smexy times. The podcast was hilarious, and the smexy times were plain scorching.
My least favorite part was the ending. I actually found myself skimming because the guys definitely didn't do enough to grovel after the way they behaved. It barely took anything for her to forgive them and move ahead. It felt pretty rushed at the end. But overall I did enjoy the story.

DNF 80% not because it’s a bad book nope it’s actually really good & the smut is immaculate. It was more because of me. I realized i’m just not a reverse herem type of girl. I didn’t care how it ended cause at the end she’d end up with all 3. & idk just didn’t matter to me at some point I ended up bored. But like I said the smut immmmmaaaculllate
This book is basically all smut but I think it’s done in the best way possible. I enjoyed the podcast transcript/ Twitter vibes thrown in. It’s also switch pov chapters which I am a sloot for! The ending was meh but I’m also not mad about it either.

This book was everything I never knew I needed!
Multiple love interest and she doesn’t have to choose, it’s a romcom, and there’s fake dating involved. Basically the recipe for my dream book. When I tell you I didn’t want to put this book down for anything and everyone had to hear about it for days I mean it.
I didn’t even know romcoms like this existed and honestly finding a non-dark/bully romance, though I love them, why choose was a breath of fresh air.
Definitely worth the read if you’re looking for something a bit more light with minimal angst and plenty of spice. Though I will admit a few parts did hit my emotions pretty strong so be prepared for that. I’ll definitely be checking out Lily’s other books.
However, CW note that other’s might want to be aware of… While this is not a dark romance the main character did suffer bullying and harassment which is talked about, some of which includes being told to unalive herself (not by the love interests). There’s are several instances of grief heavily discussed as well. Just in case anyone is avoiding such topics. I believe the author does provide a full list of CW on her website as well.
