I LOVED THIS BOOK.
The character development, the individual characters, the chemistry, the premise, the plot, the dialogue... EVERYTHING was perfect. PERFECT.
I loved Luke so damn much and from the start, he was my favourite but when Layla was around Josh, I felt a deep love for him too... Zack felt a little flat in the start but by the end, he won me over too... That is a pretty damn big thing to do... to pull off to make three book boyfriends who win you over...
I need SO SO SO many more Luke-like characters. SO DAMN MUCH. His story with Layla just hit different and I am absolutely OBSESSED.
I don't ever read romances that are THIS long but this book didn't feel like it was almost 600 pages, which was absolutely brilliant.
Also, I usually read romances with the promise of the two leads swearing never to touch another, I am a monogamist deep within my bones. I have read a few stories with throuples and more but there they are all also in love with each other as opposed to a pure, 100% reverse harem where the men are involved in a relationship because they loved one woman. This book's epilogue was also something I didn't much like. Layla getting married to them when Luke, Zack and Josh aren't in love with each other too made me feel, not very great. Luke is not Josh's husband, Zack doesn't feel romantic towards Josh, Josh doesn't feel the urge to kiss Luke or Zack, and Luke and Zack aren't interested in boning each other... They are just three men in a marriage with one woman and not even slightly with each other which DOES bother me but boy was this a good fucking book.

Saw this on tik tok with a caption don’t trust the cover…here I was thinking this was going to be just another sweet little rom com. But whoa! Don’t trust the cover guys! I wasn’t exactly sure what a reverse harem was and was a little surprised and didn’t know what to except in the end but wow…each character was so fleshed out and was their own individual and their was an actual plot and story. It was great!

Pretty basic white girl reverse harem fake r'ship trope. Storyline changes, but the girls are all the same in these books.
And I refuse to believe someone of her ripe old age does NOT know what a plug is. Unless you are living under a rock or extremely sheltered/ religious.
For whatever reason, the last few romance novels of the caucasian persuasion always have a viking built type male with a man bun.
Bottom line, the book held my attention, even though there was nothing too exciting about it. Nothing stood out.
It didn't stress me out or make me hate any of the characters.
The mfc got her lick back, and that's all I needed to see.

Honestly, this was an awkward read with an ending that kind of made me mad.
I loved all her other books but this one just wasn’t for me. I can’t deal with second hand embarrassment which is why I had DNFed this before. I picked it back up because the audiobook was on sale and I saw loads of people say this was their favourite Lily Gold book. It was really uncomfortable at a lot of points. And the ending was incredibly disappointing.

amazing
I inhaled this book, in two days. It was so well written and amazing.
It truly captivated me and I want it to be a tv series (shout out Netflix).

Never thought I would say this, but I got bored with all the sex. Multiple chapters long, unrealistic and very graphic sex scenes are just tedious and I found myself skipping forward to get past them.
I loved that there were 4 different voice actors. This started off well, but I felt like she too quickly jumped into bed with them (and vice versa). And from that point on, it was just a bunch of banging.

GREAT BOOK
This is definitely one of the greatest books I have read! It took me a day to finish it, that’s how hooked up on it I was!

I was really excited for a contemporary romance take on the reverse harem trope, but I did end up DNFing at the 50% mark.
What I liked:
- Witty banter
- Charming characters
- The spice was HOT
- group scenes
- at least one grumpy man
What didn't work for me:
- I just did not feel any emotional connection to the characters or between them. I know they were fake dating and not supposed to have feelings for each other, but the couples ALWAYS develop feelings when they're fake dating. That's the whole trope!! And honestly I didn't feel any emotional sparks between this group. It just felt very surface level.
- Luke's hesitancy to date Layla became annoying. I tried to imagine myself in the scenario, and while it might seem taboo at first, they are all adults when they become friends and I don't think them dating would be crazy AT ALL. It felt like he was trying too hard to resist it for a stupid reason.
