“When you make someone fall in love with the darkest parts of you, there's nothing you can do that will scare them away.”
(It was hard to choose a quote that would NOT expose me to my friends and show them what the hell I was reading here.)
I hate to say it. But I had so much fun reading Haunting Adeline that I couldn't take my eyes off the pages in anticipation of what would happen next EVEN THOUGH many things said and done were hella questionable :,)
I was sooo close to giving this 5 stars....so close....but sadly, it was lacking a bit towards the end. The last few chapters had a different vibe than the rest of the book that held my whole being captured, and the ending was at one point already very predictable and at the back of my mind the whole time while I was reading the last 150 pages.
Started strong and ended a bit on the weaker side, but I'll still buy the next book in this series and am excited for Zade and Adeline to return again <3

I don’t know how to feel about this book. I knew it would be a dark romance and I read the trigger warnings but it was different than I expected.
Definitely morally grey, vigilante vibes for the MMC, and Adeline’s kink of being scared as an aphrodisiac did not do it for me.
I didn’t hate it by the end but I’m not sure I’ll read the second book in the dualogy.
Don’t read this unless you like really unhinged dark romance.

this book is NOOOOTTTTT for the faint of heart, it is VERY graphic and reading the TW beforehand is important. that being said, i loved this. the different sub-plots have you on the edge of your seat, and that cliffhanger at the end?! crazy. loved it. 5/5 ⭐️ and 5/5
