One of my acquaintances said that it's always sweeter the second time around - but I got bitter.

Maybe poetry is just not my cup of tea.

Lang Leav never fails to impress me, but this is not as great as it could have been.

Somehow it turns out to be a force read for me. The books seemed written lazy.

I found this book kind of ‘meh’ because it a compilation of her previous novels, so I was reading everything twice. BUT, she added some new poems and there were THE BEST. I think I found my favorite poems ever there.
If you want to read Lang Leav I recommend you this book. It’s like a summary of all her best work

I was a little disappointed that this book wasn't a complete set of new poems but just a compilation of her previous works with only a couple of new entries.

It is frustrating to buy a book with poems in it you've already read because you own the poet's first two books. I'm not sure that was a smart choice. Despite that I really enjoyed the new stuff, more short prose then her deceptively simple but resonate poetry. For Leav, romantic love is the culmination of everything and though I don't agree, she writes about it beautifully.
