eh... tbh I'd prob read the next one

Ugh I persevered but it was never clear why the guy is not attractive, and ended up being very 2 dimensional in the characters. Liked Miranda very much though so 2 stars. Hard Pass indeed.

Felt rushed.

Read the blurb for the next book... Hard Pass.

Read the first chapter or so of another series... ugh. What happened?

I really, really wanted to like this. I usually enjoy romances where the guy isn't conventionally attractive and the heroine gets to know him and falls in love. However, for that to work, the hero has to be a good guy, and Noah is a big ol' jerk face.

Seriously, he is so unbelievably nasty to everyone. He complains about his best friend throughout the entire book, even though the guy does favors for him and tries to fix every terrible thing he does. In his inner monologue, all he does is say snarky things about everyone and whine about things that happen to him. And when he finally is forced to spend time with Miranda, he barely talks to her and everything he does say sucks so bad!!! He's such a self-absorbed jerk! How could any woman fall in love with this man? He never even shows an interest in her! Why is she attracted to him? It makes no sense. Their relationship goes from barely talking, to the most awkward date ever, to making out, to kind of breaking up, to happily ever after.

I really enjoyed this one. I loved how they met. So glad Miranda went to Noah. Didn’t let him keep hiding.

I'm going back and leaving reviews for all my 1-2 star ratings, and I don't even remember why I rated this one so low. Honestly, not remembering the book might be a good enough reason.

There was some cute banter between Miranda and Noah. I loved that this famous guy wasn't a cocky jerk, or the hottest guy on the planet with an above average p*nis. Usually the athlete is a super hot guy with the largest p*nis. He was an average guy that was famous and superb at baseball. I loved that Miranda wasn't the most gorgeous girl out there that didn't know it. She was pretty, cute, sweet, the girl next door. I loved Buzz, I thought he was hilarious. I wanted more of Noah and Miranda. I thought the book ended too soon, there wasn't enough of their dating and falling in love. The reason this didn't get a higher rating was they went on one date and this drama happened and then the story was basically over and we had the epilogue. Definitely felt like we needed more of their actual love story. It felt rushed.

YES YES YES YES PLEASE. I want more books like this.
Give me a self conscious hero over an alpha male any day.
I fell in love with Noah from the beginning. He is kind of a contradiction... Soft and gooey on the inside but a bit hard on the outside. Not your typical jock and Sara Ney excels at writing those kinds of guys. It brought me back to reading about Rhett in The Learning Hours.
There was fun banter and text messages, a bunch of angst and some really sexy scenes.
The story line was unique and a fun twist on a typical baseball romance.
