One by one these Cane brothers are stealing my heart and now I am hoping I find myself in a RH with them all. Phew Breaker was everything I thought he would be and SO much more. This is book 3 in the Cane Brothers series and follows Breaker and his best friend Ophelia (Lia).

Lia is engaged to Brian and quickly planning a wedding. Lia asks Breaker to stand up for her and he is tasked with helping with the wedding planning. It was hard to figure out how Meghan was going to tell this story without any cheating or bad behavior but of course she executes it perfectly. This was a very very very slow burn though. But when they finally get together it is explosive!

Meghan mixes this book with some of my favorite rom com ingredients! It was hilarious, I couldn’t even believe some of the things that happened to Lia while she was wedding planning with Brian’s mom. Lia & Breaker have the sweetest friendship at the base of their relationship and while neither of them thought a relationship between them could be a thing, they both loved one another. The Cane brother’s bring some great laughs as well, they are at their best when they are all together. Their chemistry was fire and it was easy to forget that Lia was recently engaged.

Meghan puts out some of the best audio ever. Erin Mallon is perfect as usual and JF Harding is the perfect Breaker. The duet style narration keeps you completely entertained. Some scenes stood out even more because the audio really enhanced the experience and made them more funny.

We all need a Breaker in our lives. Jussss saying

3.5

Breaker, honestly 10/10. Loved him.

Lia, not so much. She was needy and insecure all the time, and sleeping in another guys bed and cuddling while being engaged. It, and she, didn’t sit well with me.

Slow-burn friends-to-lovers romance with no third-act breakup or conflict. I love Breaker and Ophelia (Lia), but, Lord Almighty, it took forever for them to realize their feelings towards each other.

I won't lie, I did not care for the images within the story because, in my mind, Breaker looked completely different, so they threw me out of the story every time one came up. The scenes between Lia and her potential mother-in-law made me cringe a little from second-hand embarrassment but also had me laughing out loud.

I always seem to find myself reading the last or middle story of a standalone series, so I honestly cannot wait to go back and read the other stories involving the other Cane brothers.
