i read this book and enjoyed it . i love that this was friends to lovers and two people realising that for all these years they have loved each other
BREAKER realising the reason hes never been in a proper relationship since meeting the fmc is because he has been in love with her . and that them spending time together has been all hes ever needed is just so sweet
him hatingg her fiance was funny .
the way he knew everything she liked more than her fiancé because he actually got to know her and pays attention to her alot . the way he fell in love with her 10 years ago when they met is literally the sweetest thing ever .
update after thinking about it more its a 3 star book

I think the humor in this was so much fun and everything was cute, sexy, fun, and swoon worthy. Breaker is obviously the superior brother but it was hard for me not to look past the semi-almost-cheating (even if Brian was a tool). All in all, I’m glad I read this series. xx

DNF’d at 50%. I was so excited for this book because I loved Breaker in the first two books, which is why it pains me to do this. But not even Breaker could save this one.
I really liked Breaker, but Lia gave me that “not like other girls” vibe. She was judgmental and selfish, invalidating Breaker’s feelings and writing Birdy (that name is tragic) off for, get this, being blonde and being a fan of romcoms. Like, is there something wrong with those things?
When Breaker tried to distance himself, she’d get so upset and jealous and yet wouldn’t admit her own feelings. And cuddling and doing intimate things with Breaker while her fiancé was out of town felt like emotional cheating. I get that the author was trying to make Brian (the fiancé) seem like the bad guy, and he was pretty douchey, but it felt forced, because it was being used to justify Breaker and Lia getting together. I just couldn’t see the chemistry, not that I tried hard to.
The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because of Breaker, Birdy (another tragic name), and the few times the other Cane brothers and their wives appeared (which I can count on one hand). But Lia ruined this book for me.

A best friends to lovers where he helps FMC plan her wedding.
The concept was cute. However I wasn’t expecting the ow (Birdy) to take up so many scenes with breaker. They baked together, hung out and even kissed multiple times. Breaker and Lia were completely platonic about their relationship the first 40% into the book. Even Lia broke up with her fiancé more than halfway in the book. I found breaker and lia’s relationship easy going and natural throughout the book I wasn’t a fan of them exploring other interests for so long that was shown.
After the 70% mark their relationship was really hot and sweet! I really loved how Breaker Lia knew each other so well. All their scenes flowed naturally.
Huxleylottie crumbs were amazing! Huxley the grumpy brother getting tears in his eyes hearing he’s going to be a father to a girl
