This book was OK. It left wanting more in terms of humor and actual details about her current life. Perhaps she was too young when she wrote this book because so much of it felt as if random lists and feeling about different topics. I wasn't expecting a ton of direction or organization but the book didn't have a flow to me.
My favorite parts of the book are when she talked about her childhood. In those parts, she had me laughing and smiling. I wish more of the book would have been her reflecting back on her childhood.

This is my third read by a female comedian this year. I knew I liked Mindy Kaling having never watched The Office OR The Mindy Project. However, after reading her book, I realized that she could be one of my best friends because we agree on so much. I especially loved the part of the book entitled "Men vs. Boys" and the story about being with Elie Kemper on a photo shoot. Out of celebrity "memoirs", this one is a pretty good read.
I don’t really have any issue with this book other than it was just fine? Not bad by any means and the content is entirely from Mindy’s life and experiences so I don’t want to knock her. I just expected it to make me laugh considering how much I love her on screen but it just did not leave me feeling that way most of the time.
It took me two days to read this and I did not want it to end. This book will have you laughing in public!
Es una lectura muy liviana, sin mucho que pensar mientras lees, pero sigue siendo interesante y divertida (especialmente si lo lees con la voz de Kaling).
this book was fun but i kinda feel like ill have forgotten everything i read buy tomorrow
I got this book on audio tape, which who knew that is SO expensive?
It was well worth the price. I listened to this while riding home for Thanksgiving in the back seat of my parents' car. I was laughing to the point of crying, like snot running down my face and having to throw my head back to catch my breath.
I loved learning how much she loves her parents, what a true romantic she is and how appreciative she is of what she has today.
I hope she writes another! I'll be waiting in line.
