Don't get me wrong, 3 stars doesn't mean it's bad. It's just overwhelmingly average.

It wasn't good or bad, just.... a book. I wasn't sucked into the story, didn't really feel for any of the characters, the twists left no impact on me, it was just... okay.

I guess if you're looking for an easy fantasy to get into the fantasy genre, this isn't bad choice. But there's so many other better books.

The story was slow to get into. I felt like it went nowhere until midway through. I liked it once it finally took off but it drug on until then. I almost dnf'd it because of that
