Sinners rejoice!
Warning: this ride includes emotional edging and hidden turns when you least expect it! Wow. The emotional roller coaster this book brings.
Holy f*cking laaaaaawwwd! (Pun intended)
Eden’s story: you really feel her pain but also growth that she endures throughout.
Roman: just perfect. Top tier. I’m actually quite jealous of his obsession of Eden, swoooooon.
The ending of the book really felt like it was all wrapped up and delivered in a huge gift. Even with the emotional roller coaster, Katerina really makes sure to give you the aftercare that your heart needs. *chefs kiss*

This book was a hot mess, I made it 52% of the way through, but had to stop. The blatant use of AI art and AI in general was horrible. There was clearly no editing. It didn’t flow and was never consistent. I also found it annoying that there were so many discrepancies and errors, and from other reviews, they get worse as the book goes on.
I was a little invested in the story, and wanted to at least rage finish the book, but I found myself rolling my eyes and being annoyed that I had to save myself the suffering and call it quits.

I could not go any further with this horrible writing.
The art took me out, the human trafficking plot was not needed, and I wished Roman would have questioned himself and his faith more before diving fingers first into this girl
two and a half ☆
i went into this book VERY blindly. i had seen little snippets of it online and immediately added it to my tbr. i thought i was just getting a forbidden romance, but it ended up being a lot more than that. this book was a wild ride. very grateful for the content warning at the beginning and highly recommend people don’t skip it.
i did like the writing of the mmc and fmc, but sometimes they had me putting the book down due to second-hand embarrassment. the way the fmc bursts out with the most traumatizing information and the most random of times had me stunned sometimes. overall - they were a good match for each other and im glad to see their story.
there were a few plot holes that drove me a little mad. i wish we got to see more how this circle came to life and who was really running the show. how did david get involved? how did father kevin? it was such a huge plot, but i feel we missed out on a lot of details that had me curious. i feel we rushed through some pretty critical points. also the mmc’s backstory is still so much a mystery. i feel like we still don’t know much about him.
i also was just not a huge fan of the epilogue. there was a big time jump with little detail. it felt a bit rushed. i wish we could see more of what roman’s doing for work, heard more about adrian and zoey, for someone who wanted to rush in to marriage… why did roman wait four years? just simple things i wished to have seen!
the art work in this was stunning and it was a really nice surprise! i wish more authors did this.
overall - the book was fine. for something that i was highly anticipating, i was a little let down, but i still did enjoy it.

This was... too much of a pain to continue, so I DNFed at 62%. No plot, inconsistent characters, lust at first sight.. I did not buy the instant obsession. Plus, I guess priests just really are not for me.
