I usually do not like or read Priest/religious books. But I have to say this book was amazing. I loved the characters and the storyline and especially the roller-coaster it kept you on.

This book touches on some dark matters that is bothersome to some people, that’s understandable. This is why there are tw/cw available. It hurts my heart that so many people left bad reviews bc they weren’t okay with the content. As if they are blind to what happens in everyday life. I feel this book deserves 10 stars, just for the authors ability to write such an intriguing story. That being said….
I’ve never been in such a chokehold that I couldn’t find the words to write a review… until now. This author writes with such powerful words it pulls you into the book and makes you feel as if you are there in the story. I am shook to my core. I’m most definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
Forgive me father is not for the weak hearted, overly religious person. It’s raunchy, twisted, dark, steamy, and describes in detail some things that happen in real life. Aka Religious trauma. You’ll definitely be clutching your rosary and asking for forgiveness if you skip the tw/cw and go in blind like I did. I did not expect to be reeled in the way I was. I had that feeling oh this is wrong but I just can’t quit reading and I need more.
Thank goodness I’m not super religious but I still feel I need lots of prayers, maybe a holy water bath. Glad I’m not a regular in church 😂 bc how tf could I sit there with a straight face? Although I might convert to catholic for Roman 🥵 the things he does to Eden is just 🤯.
Hands down recommend this read going in blind, if you are brave enough.

knocking off an additional half star for the depiction of rape / sexual assault in the book because it is never needed to have details on page (and several times at that). too much was ridiculous surrounding this whole sex trafficking ring, it was almost downplayed?? i don’t know how to put it but it made me extremely uneasy and mad

I'm surprised I finished this due to the poor writing. It felt like reading a Wattpad story. I picked up the book because the story sounded interesting and the book is absolutely beautiful. I thought the art inside the book is also stunning but I quickly realized it's AI. I continued reading just because I really didn't want to leave it on DNF and hoped it would get better. The writing didn't, the story didn't. Something was just missing for me, the plot parts felt rushed to me, like it had holes. Maybe that really just was due to the bad writing for me. I really only enjoyed the spice parts. I've seen some people saying it's similar to Haunting Adeline but I couldn't agree less. The topic of child trafficking yes. The rest? No.
