I’m not really an epic fantasy fan. It bored me after awhile. Not enough character interest for me. Confusing story at times with many characters.

I had high expectations for this book. Unfortunately, I found myself having absolutely no connection to any of the characters. They all seem so far from us not because they behave of talk different but because it's all very detached. It seems the emotions are faked.
And there is too much name dump. It seems to be a great world with an immense world building behind but there is too many names we don't know and too much mystery that shouldn't be a mystery. A bit overkill on that side.
Almost DNF, but definitely won't read the next ones.
