I really wanted to like this, but at the end I felt pretty neutral. Can't quite put my finger on what exactly wasn't working for me, but maybe the issue is me and not the book...

oh my! Alex and Ely! I like the growth in this book, the communication.  I liked this couple a lot. I cried, I swooned and I want more, is there more?

Both characters were a bit boring and unlikeable. The writing didn’t keep me interested.

The last 2/3 of this book is pretty boring. I really liked learning about Alex's mental health journey and Ely is a firecracker but after their one night stand it's just kind of meh.

Enjoyed this book, especially the MMC’s character development. Also loved that the fact the FMC isn’t a main focus in the book.

I don’t even know where to start. This is now my plus size romance rubric. This is how you are supposed to write plus size characters. You see that Ely is plus size from the cover and there are occasional mentions of her curves but not once is it a central point of her character or even the romance. And the romance

I loved the writing in this! It was a slow burn that actually showed the development of the relationship and why every interaction was significant in them developing feelings for each other! That Alex acknowledged the people in his life impacted his ability to start healing his depression but he did the work and that was what healed him not some fix all relationship. At times it felt like every character but Alex was 2 dimensional and that was a little off putting for me but I loved this relationship!
