As a longtime fan of Hamilton, I had to read the book after seeing the musical performed live at The Smith Center. It did not disappoint and it was interesting to see what things were changed for the musical. I also enjoyed that every time Ron Chernow introduced a figure in the history, he would give a little portrait of them, so that by the end you have knowledge about hundreds of figures throughout Hamilton's life.

This is THICK with information so I’m not fully confident in my rating. It’s important to learn just how flawed the Founding Fathers were and to remove them to a lower pedestal. I feel like I’m ready for trivia games now for sureee!

Good book, but dense af.

Um...so I read this book a long time ago...it's fabulous. I skipped around picking the parts that I found most interesting first (like his affair, the war years, the duel). This book made me want to read other books about my favorite founding father...so glad there's now a musical! :)

Remarkable!

Incredible read - historical figures flew off the page and came to life. I am already keen to reread. Did a good job explaining very complex economic, political and financial structures.
