This was extremely cute and cozy, but 3rd person POV did not work for it.
If it had been first person, it would be at least 4 stars but it just felt awkward.
Imma still read the next one though.

I got the audiobook this time reading it and loved it even more! The narrators were perfect. I loved Will and Lauren’s story I didn’t want it to end

DNF at page 54 and that was pushing it. Gross.
I can do a cute, cheesy rom com if the characters are likable/ have some depth- clearly not the case here. It feels like the author is trying to smash as many cliches into one book as possible. I can’t imagine what the rest of the book is like

Reading Christmas books throughout the year when it’s nowhere near Christmas is one of my favorite past times… because it gets me SO EXCITED for the holidays!

This book was festive and cute and lighthearted and fluffy and had all the feel-good feelings I could ask for. I also loved the message the author sent out about grace and forgiveness, and I definitely needed this in my life. While I did feel like the book could’ve been shorter or that it dragged on for a good majority of the middle, like I said, it was a feel-good fluffy romance that made me STOKED for Christmas… which is still 6 months away. Gah!

This book gave me all the feels of a favorite Hallmark Christmas movie.

Lauren hasn't been home for the holidays in years, and with good reason. She's promised her brother that she'll make it home for the birth of his first child and reluctantly agrees to catch a ride with Will (her brother's childhood best friend & her former crush.) The two look at life in completely different ways and the cross-country road trip turns out to be a lesson in grace.

This book had me smiling from ear to ear and later wiping away a stray tear that caught me off guard. I wanted to resist the urge to read it before the holiday season, but patience isn't my strong suit. It turned out to be a great book to read during any season of life and I'd recommend it for anyone who needs something light and uplifting.

4.5 stars! I started reading this during Christmas time but got busy and then the season was over. But I started wanting a little Christmas cheer in March so I picked it back up and am glad that I did! While this book definitely felt a little cliche at times, I’m always up for a cliche and I enjoyed how the relationship felt more real at the end. There was good character growth and the third act conflict felt realistic, cliche or not.

I rather enjoyed this quick and fluffy read. You knew how it was going to end from the start, but the journey was fun.
