Now that was sweet and swoony and simply quite a lot of fun. A story that made me smile a lot! Definitely a keeper. :)

3.5 rounded up. Cute. Festive. Romantic. What more could you ask for in a holiday story?

This book, y’all. I don’t love 3rd person because it usually just makes it a little harder for me to pay attention lol so I was a little worried when I started this, but I decided I’d just try it out. An hour later, I’m over 100 pages into it. It was so cute.

Very cute story.
Overall a good story about second chances, letting go of the past, and not jumping to conclusions. I just wish I liked the FMC more.

Lauren's anger with Will about what happened all of those years ago (when Will was CLEARLY plastered and incapable of making rational decisions, and then afterwards...not remembering) turns her into a real crappy person for a while, but luckily Will powers through it. She doesnt deserve him TBH. There were a lot of great moments and banter between the two main characters.

Aside from Lauren's crappy attitude that ebbs and flows throughout the book, her jumping to conclusions, trying to explain away everything, her judging about his flirting or even just conversing with other women, and her idiotic views about people not ever changing were extremely annoying. Her insecurities also get in her own way, which never really get addressed.

I liked the ending, even though it was pretty obvious how she was being set up. All in all it is a  nice, quick feel good story.

DNF at page 16 …

The way he described her when they first met up at the car was so annoying and anti-feminist. Like the whole “seems like men can’t be nice to women anymore” just hit me in the cringe. And the “very little makeup” thing? Yeah no, y’all can keep this one lol
