This coming-of-age story is quite cute and touches on topics I think are quite important in our society to be aware of the ways we view them (struggling marital relationships, parenting, disabilities, etc.). The only complaint I have, reading this in 2021, is that some of the language is dated and can be considered as problematic (i.e. the tanning comment from Shelly that made her "like, black").

I loved the movie, but didn’t exactly enjoy the book as much, just my preference.
I had mixed feelings about bryce during the whole book, but he redeemed himself towards the end.
it was an enjoyable coming of age book though.

One of the only books I have read that switches perspective. It was nicely done and I enjoyed reading it.
If you just want to just read and relax, this is the perfect book for you. I actually read this when I got sick last week and it's totally worth it. :)
This was a cute, sweet, amazing book. The message of seeing someone for who they truly are is beautiful, and wonderfully done. Highly recommend!
