The entirety of this book I was reading to make sure Ansel died
and when he did it felt like such a disappointment. Much like him. He shows one glimmer of what it could’ve been if he didn’t murder those women but mostly he spends the remainder of his time alive fixating on the Theory rather than remorse for the Girls.

I totally agree with Hazel that he deserved a death like slipping in the shower and without the witnesses, reporters and fascination.

Also towards the end it felt like the women in his life felt guilty with what they could’ve done to stop these choices (his mum not leaving him, Blue not turning him away, Saffy not telling Blue and Rachel). Don’t love that. Maybe he was a monster that women shouldn’t feel responsible for. I did like the ending about what the girls would’ve been doing if they were alive.

This book made me feel mentally unwell and reminded me of why I can’t listen to true crime podcasts anymore. Good stuff.
