Update: Book one's definitely better than this book after a second reading. Lol. I had to downgrade my rating from 3.5 to 2.5 (and this is me being generous already). I'm sorry. šŸ™ I might read the book 3 though just to see what's gonna happen.

~

This book picked up quickly to where book one left off.

The first few chapters were a bit slow though and I find the training session dragging when Emilia didn't even encountered any of what she was trained for in the party. And the other Princes of Hell were bland as hell. Pride didn't come off as frightening, spooky, and every scary descriptions you could think of like he's supposed to be being the known powerful King of Hell.

And half of the book is either Emilia thirsting for Wrath or just them all over each other and I'm like, I don't know what's happening anymore. Where's the plot? I love spice but I also love good plot!

But I did enjoy some parts. There's just one chapter that I would like to think it didn't happen as I was so uncomfortable reading it (Chapter 17 šŸ˜¬). Was it really necessary to add this scene? I don't think so.

This was a good follow-up to the last book and sets up for the last nicely. This book focused more on Emilia and Wrath's relationship which still pushes the plot forward. The reveal that
the marriage bond was still intact fell flat because I already assumed it was since their matching tattoos never faded
. I feel like some of the twists came out of nowhere and were explained as just "part of the curse". However, I somewhat forgive that since we learn things from Emilia's point of view and it seems she is confused even more in this book. I will say that it has kept me from guessing the ending. I still have hope that all the strings come together and are explained in the next book.

Damn. I have finished Kingdom of the Wicked and Kingdom of the Cursed. Guys, I am so torn. I am trying to follow a rule that when you have nothing nice to say or write then donā€™t. So I usually write just about good books. But I am so torn. These two were bad. I cringed so many times while reading it. The main character is ... Poorly written. I understand what the author was trying to accomplish but nooe. It turned out bad. Well, better not get too deep about her. So you may ask why have I even read the second one. Becauseā€¦.  The plot, actually, turned out to be a good one. I am just šŸ¤Æ And of course, there is Wrath.  Highly original dark brooding prince of hell and Master of Darkness. Yes, the original part was dripping with my sarcasm but I can't even complain.  Cause ... I have been sold. I will probably read the third one. Just to know how it will end. Although I am really really not enjoying how it is written. Damn. I hate books like these.

I WANT TO SCREAM THAT ENDING IS ILLEGAL!!!!
Now youā€™re telling me Iā€™ll have to wait for book 3? šŸ„²

Reading this felt like watching a good Naruto filler. Not much happened until the last couple chapters, kinda setting the stage and building intrigue for the final book. N Iā€™m not complaining, it did just that, so would you please gimme the 3rd book now?

āš ļø BEWARE OF CHAPTER 17 CONTAINS COMPULSION, GORE, BODYLY HARMāš ļø

CW/TW: Mentions of rape, death of a family member.
