Was excited by the promise of an Irish folklore fantasy story, was disappointed by its execution. Generally just a slightly confusing and sloppy plot wrapped up in waaaay too many similes comparing sights, smells, and tastes to frosted starlight and cold steel or whatever.

I found this book to be a lot of fun!! I loved learning about Celtic mythology through the lense of a fantastical story. I was never bored and felt like I just needed to know what happens next. The writing style was descriptive and lovely, and the world building, I felt, was full.
