Ugh it had me for a second but the two love interest boys were just not it. They ruined it for me. Everything else would have been great.

Was excited by the promise of an Irish folklore fantasy story, was disappointed by its execution. Generally just a slightly confusing and sloppy plot wrapped up in waaaay too many similes comparing sights, smells, and tastes to frosted starlight and cold steel or whatever.

"When you give me your heart colleen, I want all of it. I want all of you. If you are sharp with broken thorns, let them cut me. If you churn with dark shadows, let them engulf me. And if your love only destroys, let it destroy me."

I love going into a book not expecting much but for it to completely captivate me and now have me eagerly await the 2nd book in the series. I loved how heavy the romance was for the plot because I was fully invested in these characters and the tension, the chemistry

I found this book to be a lot of fun!! I loved learning about Celtic mythology through the lense of a fantastical story. I was never bored and felt like I just needed to know what happens next. The writing style was descriptive and lovely, and the world building, I felt, was full. The characters were written well and I loved the character arc that the fmc Fia went through, it made sense and I found it relatable. also Irian<333
