I completely loved the chemistry between Lor and Idis. This was probably my favorite couple since Idolin and Tayla. Lor is a newfound brother for the Sem brothers, half human, and has this tortured vibe that is very much like Zsadist from the BDB series. He’s been forced to become an assassin to protect his twin sister, Sin, (another great new character) and is assigned to kill Caimen. (Sorry if I’m butchering all these names. Audiobook.) The conflict in this is great because of course the Sem brothers don’t want Caimen killed, but don’t really want to kill this newfound brother either. So what are they to do? And why does the entire hospital seem to be going crazy?

Adding to the fun is Idis, the female love interest for this book, who I thought was a really neat character as an angel waiting to ascend who is charged with protecting certain important humans, in this case, Caimen. Of course, this pits her against Lor, which creates all sorts of tension. I really enjoyed the mirroring in the conflict with regards to
Spoiler Rami and Sin, both of them wanting to save their siblings
, as well as the way the plot was resolved. This book was totally great and I look forward to book five.

The first three books drug me in and held on to me. Not so much this one.... It was still well written, just didn't enjoy it as much.

This is the series that keeps on giving and I’m really enjoying experiencing this all over again. It’s been twelve years since my first read so this does feel like I’m getting a complete do-over and getting to feel the magic all over again with completely fresh eyes.

This one focuses on Lore and Idess, he’s the half-human assassin brother that Eidolon Shade and Wrath had no idea existed. He comes with a special unicorn a twin sister who is also half seminus demon and being a girl she shouldn’t exist. Both are paid assassins enslaved to a cruel master and Lore’s latest assignment from this slaver forces him into a situation that directly affects this newly discovered family and non-compliance with his contract will mean his sister's life. Idess is a Memitim an earth-based future angel that has yet to earn her wings. She’s a protector and a watcher and her latest charge is Kynan the very marked sentinel and charmed one that Lore has been tasked by his master to take out.

This was again an excellent read this series just keeps on getting better. As this world progresses it becomes apparent just how extensive it’s becoming. There is so much going on here and as it expands further and opens up there is so much scope for further progression. I’m extremely impressed with the intricacy and detail used and the world-building is some of the best I’ve experienced to date.

Lore and Idess as a couple are just perfect together. He’s such a lonely figure of a man. His seminus gift means he’s kept himself purposely separated and though he puts on a decent game face he’s crying out for some basic human affection. Idess is more than a match for him and though she’s taken a vow of celibacy due to her potential angel status she can’t seem to stop herself from wanting Lore. What starts as two adversaries with conflicting goals swiftly morphs into an alignment and shared agenda as they work together to force a different outcome one where nobody gets to die except their mutual enemies.

This was well written fast paced and really brought the goods. These two had plenty of explosive chemistry together and I was also excited at all the breadcrumbs this dropped and all of the little side plots that make this series so addictive. I definitely recommend reading and it’s one of my favourites.

I liked this story better than the last one. I just didn't like Shade and Wraith no more they were total assholes. You can say that Roag had a lot to do with it but They were total dicks even when he wasn't around. I hope I don't have to see or read anymore about Runa and Shade and Wraith and Serena and Gem in the next books in the series. I hated them

Idess was a good match for Lore. I really liked her. Felt sorry for her when she found out her brother was the cause of most of the stuff going around.

This one was pretty good. I didn't like it as much as the last book with Wraith and Serena, but I enjoyed the story. It was interesting that Roag came back into the picture. Of course you knew he would. I liked the story of Idess's brother too. That one I did not see coming at all. That was a really good twist. The introduction to Sin was interesting and makes me curious to read the next book. Not a bad series really.

From the start, I know that Larissa Ione will be one of my favorite author. And she does :D
I really love this series, i think until Wraith story, who will be the next, and there are Lore, the assasin that in the third books are revealed that he is a seminus demon, (and his sister Sin is seminus too)
I enjoy Lore-Idess relationship, and I'm happy that Ms Ione not forget the other character, so their story is told too.
I dont like with Shade's attitude, but love Eidolon more *lol*

Review is to come in more detail but for now...

I enjoyed this.

Lore is a refreshing addition to the world and I liked Idess a lot.

I feel a lot of Lore's hesitance and trauma was repetitive at times but his connection with Idess is undeniable.

Shit is going down in the larger plot.

Stay tuned!

As I've gotten older, my feelings on Lore and Idess have only intensified. When I first read Ecstasy Unveiled, I was coming off the OG Seminus brothers, all of whom had my heart in unique and extremely specific ways. Lore, however, was different, an assassin who ostensibly had almost no moral code; Idess herself was both intensely capable and somehow fragile, which a young me took as annoying rather than an indicator that a single person could contain multitudes. I now appreciate their story so much more than I did because it's the story of redemption and how happiness and love can help someone course correct if they have a desire to do so. Their story also introduced us to Sin, whose story now absolutely breaks me, and we got more Seminus brothers and their mates. Larissa Ione is the absolute freaking queen (!) of paranormal romance, and I love going back to the world that she created.

Unlike the last three Demonica books, I didn't like this one as much as I liked the others, but it was still good. Lore is the brother that we didn't know about. Lore is enslaved as a demon assassin and to gain his freedom he needs to get 100 kills. He is at 99 kills now and only needs one more. His ruthless master assigns Lore to kill Kyan, and if Lore doesn't like him his sister, Sin will die.

And then we have Idess, the angel. She is assigned to protect Kynan for he is very important. They both have problems of their own. Lore is falling for Idess, but anyone he touches dies unless your blood-related to Lore. And Idess has taken a vow to remain a virgin. An angel and a demon falling in love, quite a sight. Like all the rest of the Demonica books thus far we always have some villains cause trouble for our heroes and that happens yet again in this exciting installment in the Demonica Series.

I didn't quite know what to think of Lore. I thought he has a bit of all of the brothers in him. He is quite the bad boy with an attitude like Wraith and Shade and is very smart and intelligent like Eidolon. But he tormented by his demon ability which seems more like a curse. He wants freedom for him and his sister more than anything. Idess wants her wings and doesn't want to fail her mission to protect Kynan.

"What does she look like?" Sin asked.
"Like she'd look good on a mattress."
Sin jammed her fists on her hips. "That tells me nothing, and aren't you mated?" "I'm also a sex demon. I didn't go blind when I took a mate."

They are both drawn to each other and isn't kind of bad to fall for a demon? It is wicked bad and hot. We get a look into a new characters, Sin. And I want more of this girl. Sin is the sister of Lore and she is just as bad as Lore is. She is tough, bad ass, doesn't take shit from anyone, oh, wait. aren't I describing a Wraith a little too much here? We'll when you read this book, you will love Sin just as much as I do.

This book wasn't a favorite of mine because of all the drama that went down with Lore and his brothers. And I didn't like Lore/Idess as much as the other couples, but Lore/Idess was still enjoyable. I felt like it was more interesting in the side story with finding out about this mysterious sister, Sin. Do you want to know why?

Sin makes quite an entrance in the Demonica World and some unforgettable moments that we get us loving her just as much as her brothers. What do you get to look forward to in ECSTACY UNVEILED? hot and sexy forbidden romance, non-stop action, demon humor, and another sexy couple you will love to read about.
