Another book down in the Red Queen series. I enjoyed the first book in the series, I really did, but I think this book dragged on much longer than it should of. Half of the book is focused on Mare imprisoned by Maven and it is not exactly interesting. She lives the same habits on repeat and as a reader, it becomes repetitive and tiresome. I did, however, enjoy the focus on Maven though. The fact that this villain is manipulated by a ghost and he has no idea if he is evil or not... It is interesting enough to find out if he can be redeemed. Also, the second part of the book does pick up. Seeing the politics of the kingdom and the corruption of said kingdom being exposed is interesting. I did enjoy this book overall and I am left looking forward to the final book in the series. I would recommend finishing this book if you enjoyed the first novel in the Red Queen series because the build-up to the final installment is promising.

Wow, this book was such a ride! Definitely a huge step up from the second one (though I still enjoyed in its own way). I loved how Victoria Aveyard introduced new POVs… it kept things fresh and made me even more invested in the characters and the plot.
Speaking of characters, the development in Knight’s Cage was top-tier. Every single one of them had growth that I didn’t even realize I needed, and it made the emotional moments hit so much harder. The pacing was intense, packed with action, and had some twists that reminded me of the kind of surprises and tension that made me fall in love with Red Queen💕.
And that ending? Absolutely wrecked me. I’m still trying to recover. I think I’m not ready to know the end of story just yet. 🤯

First off...Maven. Second off...Maven. Third...Mare is a blind, self-centered, hateful, spiteful, shallow little piece of work. Pretty sure we got the picture that she sees things only in black and white and expects people to fall all over her instead of doing something for the greater good (*cough* Cal). And...Samos.
The only reason this book even made it to four stars was because, once again, Maven. Otherwise, I was rather disappointed.

Ugh. I wanted this to be better, but was dissatisfied. Probably why it took me so long to read it! The plot had the same formula as the previous book, with another twist thrown in there to keep things interesting.
