📖 One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston Book Review 📖

9th book of January 2022 and 9th of the year:

Another amazing book by a favorite author! I laughed my butt off throughout the entire book, fell in love with all of the characters SO quickly, and loved all of the representation and the queer found family aspect in it. I fully want to read an entire book series based on Jane’s life, and I also can’t wait to start the author’s newest book! Some author-provided TWs are (on page) drinking, light drug use(weed), semi-public sex, sexual content, exploration of depression and anxiety, memory loss and cognitive issues, familial estrangement, familial death, grief, missing persons, implied PTSD, and (off-page/past/alluded to) homophobic violence and hate speech, police violence, the AIDS crisis, racism, childhood neglect, arson, and a historic hate crime resulting in loss of life📚♥️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This was such a cute and unique concept. Loved these characters so so much. Especially the side characters. I felt so connected in this story and thought it ended so perfectly.

I love this book. Starting this book I instantly fell in love with all of the characters (especially the side characters). I love august and jane's relationship, although I wish they would have gotten together sooner since it is a romance and they spend less than half of the book in an actual relationship. This is definitely made up for though by all of the mystery aspects of this book that I love. Certain parts of this book feel a little unrealistic (ex. the subway is always empty when they need it to be) and the ending was not for me, but I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a cute, easy/quick, romance/mystery to read.

i basically read this book in one day and it was great! A little hard to read at the beginning but it sure did pick up after a couple of chapters!
the sci-fi twist was something i did not see coming. maybe i’m dumb and did not truly see it coming but i loved it! it was a great twist and made me more interested into the story. seeing august and janes love story throughout the book and the slow burn was everything and more to me! I hope to read more of McQuinston’s works in the future and this book was a great queer love story that i loved!

A beautiful book about found family and cute romance. Also there’s a sci-fi plot that spices it up. Anyway, it’s heartwarming and I loved the found family

Absolutely charming. It was a hell of a drive and I adored every single second of it. I’m (maybe) gonna update this review later, but now my head is numb for reading this book for the last 5 hours.
