I wanted to like this book. Some parts were excellent—banter, action, clever reveals. But the plot slowed down a lot with frequent flashbacks to flesh out characters. While the character development worked—you got to know the gang and even like them—it was boring to come to a standstill every other page.

It was a bit difficult to get into the universe but once I wrapped my head around it I couldn’t put it down. High stakes page turner that just kept surprising me. Love all the characters.
