I really enjoyed this book. If you love D&D, stories that actually use game mechanics to tell a story, and sapphic romance, you'll likely enjoy this book as well. I kinda wish it delved even more into the gameplay side of things and let us read more from that POV. I also felt that the ending was a bit rushed. That said, the characters were loveable and the romance was well-written. I'd love more D&D romance like this, and I'd love more about these characters.

I adored the hell out of this book! The neurodivergent rep is amazing, the D&D content is amazing and the story is excellently written! It was very easy to connect with the characters and being neurospicy myself I really enjoyed the representation and the fact that it was accurate. I totally fell in love with Nova and June and I couldn’t get enough of their story! This is easily one of the best books I’ve read this year.

If you’re into D&D or cosplaying or anything “nerdy” and you’re a lover of sapphic books you’re probably going to love this one!

Ok your cringe tolerance must be very high to enjoy this book, luckily I have developed this over years of being annoying. I found the characters kind of annoying but in an endearing way, and they felt very real to me. These are people you know and love and want to shake sometimes. It has a very millennial sensibility so be prepared for that. It is hometown propaganda and friends to lovers propaganda, even worse the sapphic homoerotic friendship that has never once worked out propaganda. These are some of my least favorite tropes but in this case I didn't actually mind it?? I think the focus on friendship and found family is what really sold it. This book has a lot of heart and that bleeds through both in the queer journeys and also love of dnd. So many moments are taken directly from my thoughts and conversations with friends in both regards, so it felt very personal and grounded. I kind of wish it didn't care about being so accessible because sometimes it would stop to explain things that the characters would know, but I get it. I did think the in character scenes were a nice touch. The smut was good but cut off so quick every time, so I wish they slowed a bit. This book was stupid and not very good, but it was also so genuine and aimed at me directly that I couldn't possibly dislike it.

Bloody loved this book. Nostalgia mixed with self discovery all at the weird age of no longer being a kid but expecting to be an adult. Brilliant representations of all varieties and damn did the rpg brilliance entwine perfectly with the romance.
Spicy AF and wow … never read so many toy scenes in a single book. Cold showers or ‘self-care’ required lol
