The continuing saga of the Mainefolk felt decidedly different to me in this novel. All the usual cast of characters played a part: Olive Kitteridge, Lucy Barton and William, the Burgess Boys and their sister Susan, but the real focus was on Bob Burgess. I feel like I need to reread "The Burgess Boys" to re-examine the relationship between the brothers and their sister. One thing I liked immensely is that all the characters seem to have grown. They did not remain stagnant stereotypes of their younger selves. It's a perfect example of unrecorded lives.
I hadn't read any of Strout's works, so I appreciated this slow-paced character driven novel. It may have been boring if I had read her other works though? I won't go back and read the previous books since it seems like I got to know the characters just fine.

I struggled with the beginning of this book as it quickly introduced a lot of characters and jumped around quite a bit (perhaps a result of me jumping into this series blindly in book 5 oops), but I’m so glad I stuck with it. It depicts slivers of humanity in such an intimate way that I’ll have no choice but to reflect on this book for a long time to come.

An excellent book for any of us contemplating the meaning of life as we get older and the value of love in its many forms

Love the extremely relatable characters and the story telling tone of this series. Tell Me Everything felt like a perfect cup of tea on a rainy day.
