Easy to follow recipes. It would definitely be hard for someone with a picky eater or tree nut allergy to follow all the way through, but it has great ideas to implement plant based recipes.

I’ve basically read it—in very choppy sections at least. I have tried many of the recipes and they are great, easy to follow, and all whole food plant-based. Some of the recipes are a little out there for what I would make just on a daily basis, but I’m sure they’re good nevertheless. I figured that I would just mark this as “read” because I will be reading and rereading sections of this for a long time, but I’d rather not have it sitting in my currently-reading shelf forever. That’s all.

Unlike most cookbooks on my shelf, this one I'll actually use. The recipes are simple enough to make regularly, and good enough to look forward to eating.
Excellent.

It is a very good book to start your plant-based cooking journey.

I like the comprehensive smoothie section which adds sneaky veggies to smoothies - I’ll defo be trying this in the summer. Other recipes are similar to vegan ones I already follow, just with different spice blends - I’m looking forward to trying the savoury spice blend.

My one critique is the book seems
To tick of daily frozen food items if the food occurs, rather than if it meets the recommended portion size of the food per serving. This means it is still a bit challenging to plan meals and would benefit from an update with percentages or something for each daily dozen food.

I’m going to try some recipes and come back to update this review with how yummy it was!

My husband and I were huge fans of Dr. Greger's book so I had to pre-order his accompanying cookbook. We have made about 10 recipes from it and they have all been AWESOME! I think my favorite recipe so far has been the Curried Chickpea Wraps. We also enjoyed the Black Bean Burgers, Lentil Shephard's Pie, Sweet Potato Hash, and Moroccan Lentil Soup.

The recipes are simple and delicious and each one features a full-page photo so you know how the dish should look when you're done. I also like that Dr. Greger included recipes for kitchen staples like date paste, savory spice blend, etc. and his tip for lemon and lime juice has been a game changer! This was one of our top used cookbooks of 2017.

Wicked cookbook with lots of health information in the first part of it. The bean burgers are amazing - going to make a bunch of pattie’s and freeze them. Excited to try a bunch more vegan recipes from this cookbook

love this! it gets right to the point of the full length book. i appreciate that rather than only point out issues in the book, the author also made this cookbook as a companion for solutions. I appreciate that recipes are easily adaptable & also contain suggestions and other ways to incorporate key ingredients into your day. lovely!
