I really liked the story. One of my favorite narrators, so that had a lot to do with it. I don't consider it part of any series. It was an enjoyable stand alone.

Loved the first 2 books. I grabbed this one without realizing it's just another zombie story. Nope. Not a zombie fan.

Characters were a little underdeveloped. This was the third Peter Clines book I read, and although I absolutely loved 14 and The Fold, I wasn’t very impressed with this one.

The concept was fairly interesting and I was optimistic at the start of the book, but the audiobook bored me to the point that I regularly had to skip back 5+ minutes to understand what was going on because I zoned out.

It’s alright but it’s no match to the first 2 books in the Threshold series.

Uninspired and not very interesting; the entire narrative is a shooting gallery bereft of character development. Kind of a letdown compared to the two previous entries in the series, which were great

Not sure why people didn't enjoy this, other than the fact that it really isn't connected to the other Threshold books. I thought it was really clever and fun. Peter Clines can do no wrong imo.

2.5/5 rounding up because I like Peter....
PETER WHAT THE HECK
maybe if this was a physical book or even an ebook I would have enjoyed it more (nothing against our Lord and savior Ray Porter). Seemed like it was nothing but zombie fightin' which is kinda boring. I found myself zoning in and out a LOT... sad.

*Update*
I just want to add that I think this book was kinda hard to follow along with most the time because there were just so many characters. I kept forgetting who was who.

A pretty odd book that I don't think I'd even recommend to someone wanting to read through the Threshold books for completionist tendencies. It was fine and didn't overstay its welcome but I did not enjoy it nearly as much as [b:14|15062217|14 (Threshold, #1)|Peter Clines|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1338999953l/15062217._SX50_.jpg|20716929] or [b:The Fold|23164927|The Fold (Threshold, #2)|Peter Clines|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1416182070l/23164927._SY75_.jpg|42710963]. It's also not very connected to those two, either.

In the future the moon is, for reasons, the Earth's giant cemetery. I guess space is an issue on Earth, or something? Anyway, people don't decay there, which means that when a meteor that brings the dead back to life lands on the surface of the moon, it's bad. Enter moon zombies.

Onto [b:Terminus|49122653|Terminus (Threshold, #4)|Peter Clines|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1579030162l/49122653._SX50_.jpg|74573809], which I hear is better.
