Geweldig leuk boek!

Easily read in their authentic voices, it was like reading a more heartfelt and less silly version of GMM (however, still quite silly!).

Fortunately, I’ve been on an hours long return drive home from vacation and was able to listen to this audiobook from start to finish without interruption. Rhett & Link did not disappoint with this incredibly entertaining book! It was great to hear from their wifes (don’t change the F to a V), members of the Mythical Crew, and even Ms. Locklear as each person read their respective contributions to the Book of Mythicality. Not only was it funny, informative, and sometimes silly, but Rhett & Link share insights and advice for living a fulfilling life that I personally believe everyone should take note of. I will most definitely have my two teenagers read this book and encourage them to intentionally create more mythicality in their own lives.
I absolutely loved listening to this audiobook and can hardly wait to return home (just a few more hours on the road before I’m there) where my preordered hardcover copy of the Book of Mythicality awaits!

I'm a fan of Good Mythical Morning, hence why I decided to listen to this book, and I had really high expectations for it but they all fell short. You see, GMM is a really good show, and by listening to the audiobook I was hoping it was going to be like a bonus episode but it wasn't. It was pretty much a letdown, I expected to laugh a lot more than I did - I'd say a handful of times at maximum, and that's disappointing. They are really good internetainers, but I think they should have stuck to that. On the internet, or maybe I'm not a big enough fan to enjoy the personal information they shared. I wanted more funny stories than private moments and I guess I should stick to the show for that.
That being said, I did enjoy listening to it, it just wasn't anything better than good. It made me laugh in places, and I'm sure it will inspire many, but not really my cup of tea. I will admit that I loved the lists that they made on the subjects they were talking about, that was pretty cool because as usual, it was over the top and not normal. Another thing I enjoyed was the Mythical crew joining in on the reading when Rhett and Link talked about their opinions, for some reason I wasn't expecting it and it was pretty cool. But overall, I just wish there was more I could have laughed at. I made a comment when reading this that "finally I'm laughing!!" and the upsetting thing is, I was fifty-five percent through the book before I found something funny.
A problem that I noticed that sucked was because I listened to the audio version of the book when they talked about the photos in the book, naturally, I couldn't see them and it made me feel left out. It was a shame and I was kinda disappointed that I didn't have an actual copy in my hands at those times, but overall I'm glad I didn't buy this book.

I'm a passive watching of GMM, so I did know about Rhett and Link. The content of the book has a lot about their lives, so if that's not something that interests you, skip it. It does give some ideas on how to live life with more creative and worry less about little things, but it has a kind of humor that while fun, felt aimed at younger people. It is silly, which has its own charm, but at times I was more interested in hearing the story than the reading the quirky lines.
If you have a massive fan of them, you'll love it. If you are a passive fan, you can enjoy it if you connect with their humor. If you have no idea who they are, it is most likely to go over your head.

I am late to reviewing this book, but I adored it enough that I wanted to make sure you all got my thoughts on it. Disclosure: I am a big fan of Rhett and Link’s style and mission. I appreciate the way that look at the world with a mission of making people laugh, thus making the world a happier, more mythical place. I know their humor can seem immature to some, but my favorite part of it is the fact THEY realize they’re being stupid, but they’re just having a good time. Plus, who wouldn’t be stupid with their best friend if they could do it for a living–and make millions from it, haha.
Anyways, this book was the physical embodiment of their channel and mission, and I adored every page of it. From the beginning of the marketing, the duo was pretty honest about the fact they didn’t think they would have to actually write the book themselves, and thus they just worked to create the best representation of their channel they could, versus the best piece of literature.
This was the best approach I think they could’ve taken. Too often you see the YouTubers attempt to write, well, real books. And the fact they’re not writers comes across pretty clearly. The Book of Mythicality managed to disguise the lack of writing ability, as well as giving a very strong history for the duo who has been around almost as long as YouTube has been a platform. I was very impressed with the general messages of kindness, confidence, humor, and mythicality that this book was sending to the audience.
In case it isn’t clear yet, I adored this book, and think just about anyone could gain something from reading it–even if all that you gain is a bit of laughter. 🙂

I'd been waiting for this book for almost three years now and it lived up to its expectations (for the most part). There were some really hilarious parts (although a good majority of the stories I had heard already on Good Mythical Morning episodes, but they were fun to relive all the same) and amazing pictures. A great job well done and I await another book just as eagerly!
