This was a first by this author for me and I listened to it on audio. I think the narration for this was pretty good and I liked the story ok. I got annoyed several times but kept reminding myself these are teenagers not adults so their actions were normal LOL However though I LOVED Nolan the main character I seriously wanted to shake her many times and maybe give her a good strong slap on occasion. I mean really?! The way she let people treat her...let her boyfriend treat her and keep running back to him. No stop it. 4 years of that? Pfffft I also did like Reed I found him to be a huge asshole more than once and I totally wouldn't have forgiven him for any of it. I think I both liked and am annoyed at how the story ended I'm just not sure which way to lean more.
Actual Rating: 4.5
This was a fantastic read. The characters are amazing. Reed is the athletic hero that loves a girl who has tomboyish tendencies. Nolan is a bad-ass who always wanted a boy but was always turned down. It is a back and forth game with these two. I love them both because how different they are but in that they were the perfect match for each.
I have a love-hate relationship towards Reed because he does all of this stupid things to hurt Nolan. This book is similar to Need by K.I. Lynn and Complicate Me by M. Robinson. I think that's why this book is so good. Overall, a lovely story about first love. Can't wait for their story to continue.

I enjoyed this story a lot... one of my all-time top reads. The ups and downs between Nolan and Reed were frequent and some of them devastating. I did grow a little frustrated at the lack of communication between the two because being friends and boyfriend/girlfriend for so long they should have felt comfortable enough to discuss things instead of blowing up and running away... then again they were young, impressionable, insecure and in love and they had no clue what the hell they were doing or what would come of it. It was a rollercoaster ride, for sure. Being a teenager really is difficult... sometimes we forget just how difficult. Now, moving on to Going Long...
I loved GS's Falling Series so much, I decided to go back and read some of her earlier work. The setting of rural Arizona was fun and I enjoyed seeing places and events I actually know. Nolan had such a long and intense journey over the course of the book. Her relationship with her parents and Nancy was so heartwarming. I thought to myself several times, how any parent would be so proud to have a daughter like her.
I suppose the men of Falling spoiled me completely, because I spent most of the book disliking Reed immensely. I tried to remember he was young and impulsive. However, there were times I just wanted Nolan to smack him and never talk to him again. For what Reed lacked, his Dad more than compensated. Buck was a definite scene stealer. Despite my annoyance with Reed, I found this book to be very realistic and such a heart wrenching journey spanning their high school years. It was refreshing to see how much GS has grown as an author in the last two years. I can't get enough of her storytelling!

And loving someone isn't what makes me special, it's my ability to love...period...that sets me apart. At least that's what my angel told me.
I kept waiting for it to rope me in and it never did. Just wasn't something that I found intriguing.
I would have never given that boy as many chances as she did. My girl Nolan needed some self respect.
Not much to say about this one. I finished it last night and honestly don't even remember much of it. Mediocre story and characters. Cute romance at times but entirely way too much drama. I felt like I read two or three book in one. Parts were really good and I couldn't put it down, but by the time I reached the end, I was just over it. It was definitely cute but kind of boring at the same time. Also, after how he acted, she took him back WAY too easily. I'm not really interested in reading the sequel, so the journey stops here.
This is one of my favorite books, I loved the audiobook as well. Ginger Scott has become one of my fav authors, and will be reading more of her work.
