This was a loooong, well written coming of age read. I nearly didn't read this once I realised how young the mc's were. This starts of when they are 14 and portrays their relationship over 4 years. I have to say that while I'm so far from 15 it's not even funny, this brought back memories of me angsting over my super crush. This was often a frustrating read because that old chestnut 'misunderstanding', was a too often used ploy. Still it kept me reading every word, even when the minute detail of the life, longings and angst were a bit too much.

The heroine, Nolan, seriously had ZERO backbone. She was the kind of doormat that lets people wipe their dirty shoes all over it, then to be dragged through mud, only to let a dog take a shit on it. The only thing that grated on my nerves more than Tatum, was Nolan being a total pushover.

Through out this book, I reminiscing about my high school years. That girl i was. Tomboy, awkward, reclusive with a thick glasses, mouth braces, body issue and very ugly and un fashion short hair. God I remember that time, that I can not wait to be done from high school. I remember the bully, the mean girls, the popular group and the weird group.
I do not have best friend. And that is how I fall in love with books. Anyway, Nolan reminds me of me. Minus the bravery and the maturity of her. And Reed, he is the popular jockey character. The popular boy that get all attention and all the girls. Through out the book, Reed is a jerk. But.. again, I try to judge him as teenager. Being popular is difficult. The peer pressure and the image that is expected from him.
I do not see Reed as alpha male character on steamy romance. I look at Reed as popular teenager who on the bridge of losing whats good of him because of his popularity. And Nolan is the girl who pulls him up and save him.
Again I always love kick ass heroine. And Nolan is a kick ass heroine.

This is one of my favorite books, I loved the audiobook as well. Ginger Scott has become one of my fav authors, and will be reading more of her work.
This book... wow! I just wanna slap Reed at times but then hug him the next minute. I found it to be very well written seeing as it covered 4 years of high school. I literally had jaw dropping moments when Reed made his comments but you can't help but pull for them to find their way to each other. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

I loved this story. I could put it down I read in a day. It didn't seem like a long book it flowed well and kept you wondering what was going to happen. The only part I didn't like was the end, it felt very rushed. I know there is a sequel and I'm sure that's why it ended like it did.
I found this book to be a little predictable but I overall enjoyed these characters. I am not for the dramalama and I did roll my eyes a few times but the bones of the story sucked me in.
New guy, becomes popular. Kind of under the radar girl falls for the new guy. Can’t forget the mean girl, who gets the new guy. ;)
But what kept me going was Reed and his friendship with Nolan even when Reeds Meanie GF was around he was still friends with Nolan.
Can we please talk about Reed's dad, I think he is one of the best supporting characters in this book. He is awesome and I loved that he knew Nolan was special and needed the encouragement.
Love that Nolan had a great relationship with her dad that made my heart happy.
The will they won’t they were getting a little old, but I hung in there and I am happy I finished.
Very much loved the narration I think Laura Darrell does a perfect job.
