This was delightful and so hopeful. It felt like being hugged by someone you love. I was surprised by how much of the book was left after the resolution of the main conflict but I actually really enjoyed that we just got to spend more time in a happier world. 
This book doesn't shy away from hard topics, and it is hard to read sometimes. Not everything is resolved by the end of the book. But the characters develop better support systems with people who will stand by them no matter what. 
The audiobook read by Karla Serrato is wonderful, highly recommend!

Absolutely precious. A joy. Incredibly relatable as an ex-catholic who resonates with lesbian identity and even had a brief stint at private school, but there is also so much in there for everyone: queer joy, familial relationships, rom com vibes, lovable characters, a great sibling dynamic, discussions of culture and connecting with one’s culture, calling out racism and homophobia without question, confidence, and self acceptance.

(Also, totally a side note, but I find it refreshing that the main character knows she’s pretty. So much of this book is refreshing. An honest & meaningful YA rom com. I wish little me had gotten to read this!)
