Não achando que seja premonitório, facilmente se encontra o devido paralelismo com os tempos actuais, o que faz com que 1984 seja intemporal. Um clássico a re(visitar) sempre que se ache pertinente ler acerca dos poderes instituídos e da razão da sua existência - o poder.
A (re)ler, definitivamente.

The book I give 4⭐️ but this production is a perfect 5⭐️.

While I understand that the point of 1984 is to be a warning, I did find the ending devastating. I wish it could have ended in a victory against the Party and not with Winston and Julia’s work being for nothing. 

I’m glad I read this in school because the messaging about corrupt governments, free thought, and propaganda is important but I do hope schools have moved on from it. Since these freedoms are being fought for all over the world every day, there is better diverse modern literature to replace it with. 

This production value was awesome. Andrew Garfield gave the audio performance of his life.
