The bad guys in these are creepy! I liked this book, but it was a little spooky for me.
Another good mystery
As Jane Rizzoli recovers from her run in with the Surgeon last summer, bodies start appearing that suggest he is involved.....but he is in prison!?!
With the mysterious FBI agent turning up to support from Washington Rizzoli needs to find the link before the killer (s) strike again much closer to home! Will the Apprentice finish the Surgeon 's work ????

I think I would enjoy this series so much more if I had never watched the television adaptation. I can't stop comparing the two!
That said, I did like this book and I will read more in the series.

While it is sooo different from the show , it is great. I can’t wait to read the next one.
This was entertaining. Pretty by the book medical, cop novel. Characterization was a little weak (female supercop, "man in the gray suit." The crimes were very descriptive and all in all felt like a tv show. Entertaining.
Just ok. This didn't inspire me to pick up any more books in the series; even though I hear they get better. There was a reference in here to Old Orchard Beach Maine; which always thrills me- but beyond that- nothing.
This was a great re-read:
Rizzoli is so strong but she feels that she constantly has to prove it to everyone around her and thats really sad.
We focused on Rizzoli in this book so if I remember correctly the next book will focus more on Maura and I cant wait to reconnect with her.
Agent Dean is so cool :D

This book was much better than the first, I really liked the character development that Rizzoli went through. I found her more engaging and likeable. In the first book she was more robotic and stiff. Dr. Isles finally appears in book 2 and I'm interested to see where that goes. I found this book hard to put down.
So creepy! This book was really well written and had some interesting twists and turns. I love when their are plot points I don't see coming. Tess Gerritsen manages to scare me once again and make me like it!
