Strong follow-up to the first "Rizzoli & Isles" story. This time, Isles at least makes an appearance, but they are still not well acquainted. Gerritsen manages to recycle the nemesis of the first volume very effectively. A gripper.
I listened to this on audiobook and the narrator was intolerable, which stinks because the story itself is quite good.
Wow..I flew through this one. I liked Rizzoli a lot more in this book than I did in the first book. I also really liked Gabriel too. Great book!

Solid, well told story that ended quite abruptly. However, life happens that way sometimes....on to the next book in the series.
My rating is closer to 4.5 stars. It was really well written and fast-paced, but the ending left something to be desired. I would certainly recommend it to someone who loves crime mystery thrillers. The subject matter isn't for the faint of heart.

Waar ik bij het eerste deel nog twijfel had, begon ik nu vol enthousiasme. Gerritse stelde me niet teleur! Dit boek is geschreven vanuit Rizolli’s oogpunt, wat haar karakter er goed aan doet. Na de gebeurtenissen uit het eerste boek is zij immers niet meer volledig hetzelfde. Wederom een boek met spanning, details, gruwelijkheden en de jacht op een ongrijpbare moordenaar. Vooral dat de medische zaken en het forensisch onderzoek zo uitgebreid worden beschreven is heerlijk. Als je interessegebied daar in de buurt ligt is deze serie als een lekkernij!
