Such a beautiful blend of nothingness and poignancy.
Short and sweet. I didn't get all of the Brazil specific references but I really enjoyed how plain and awkward the narration was. Some solid laughs, at times I wasn't sure I should be laughing because at its heart it's a sad story. Interested to read more Lispector.

I did not like it. I almost DNF, and I think maybe in another time when I have the patience to re-read it, I would maybe ...maybe appreciate the literary book.
To me, it felt she was explaining the obvious in a weird way and always repeting it or making it more obvious.

nada poderia me preparar pro tanto que eu gostei de reler esse livro e perceber também, com certo desapontamento pra com meu eu de 16 anos, que eu não aproveitei quase nada do que esse livro tem pra oferecer na primeira vez que o li. ainda assim: antes tarde do que nunca.
