Two books down, nine to go.

How this was marketed as middle grade back in the day astounds me. It’s definitely not for younger readers.

Turns out that I remember a lot less about the first few books than I originally thought

Quick fun read for kids. I wish these books would have been around when I was young.

In this second installment of Anthony Horowitz's Alex Rider series, Alex is once again called in to help MI6. This time at an all boys school, for the trouble kids of rich people all over the world. Which came under suspicion after two mysterious murders that's only connection is the school 'Point Blank'.

Alex's only job is to go to the school, located on high atop the Swiss Alps and look around and report back, how hard could that be?

Trouble is, he might not make it off the mountain again.

I loved this book as much as the first book, Stormbreaker. Fourteen year old Alex never ceases to amaze me with his daring ideas and extraordinary skill that made the MI6 want him in the first place. The author really brings him to life in a way that makes you feel as if you are right along beside him! And even though this is my second reading, it didn't diminish the plot of the book at all.

I will be re-reading the third book (I already started it!) and the others as well leading up to the amazing reading of his new book Scorpia Rising!!

I recommend to everyone, it may sound like a book for the younger audience, but this is definitely a book most everyone can enjoy.

Definitely more enjoyable than the first book as the plot line is much more gripping and also a lot more believeable in motives while being fantastical in action. Not to mention downright creepy and unsettling when thinking about the whole clone business. What I do wonder is if they will work with the ending of the book to make it seem as though Alex died in the school rather than the clone. Though I wonder if he is actually dead because it was left quite open ended.
