Es una lectura que se lee en una noche, creo que es muy bueno para comenzar con el feminismo y reflexionar.

I think this is a really good intro to feminism type of book that everyone should read. Adichie lays out concepts that are not new to me but were presented in new ways. Her whole thing about "women who do it all?" I never thought about it that way. So yeah. Short and sweet, but impactful nonetheless.

this was amazing i want to shove this in everyone’s face like PLEASE READ THIS. honestly, it felt like adichie was giving words to things i’d already felt, noticed, and struggled with, but couldn’t always articulate. the clarity in her writing, the everyday examples, the humor, and the unapologetic honesty made it impossible to put down. in short if you care about equality, self-respect, and truly understanding the humanity of yourself and others, you should read this.

I read this book at the last minute to get in one last read for 2018 and it ended up being one of my favorites. I should not have been shocked really because everything Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie writes is amazing. I felt this little read was full of so much wisdom and if I have any friends having children in the near future this will be a gift from me I can promise you that.

As always, Adichie packs so much wisdom and empathy in every sentence. Nothing super groundbreaking here, but worth the read to appreciate her clear prose and wit. Also interesting to reflect on how we’ve been raised compared to Adichie’s advice (not that non-compliance diminishes anything my mom has done for me !!)

(I also love Adichie’s voice and read everything she writes in her voice in my head. It’s great.)

I also think if Adichie were so inclined she would be a good stand-up comedian... I mean... “The knowledge of cooking does not come pre-installed in a vagina” has the beginnings for a good bit and we could all use more feminist comedians.
