“What’s gayer than 3 men in a boat?” Is my new life moto.

ultimately most of this was just fine but there were a few really good essays and i love the concept

This should be a difinitive book for both queer theory and horror readers. Really fantastic essays throughout. The personal stories and the pairing with movies was just fantastic and so many other topics are covered.

Rounding up from 4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this collection of essays. I especially appreciated the diversity of queer identities represented! 4.5 stars because I felt that the Child's Play essay was an inappropriate, exploitative write up about his experiences with his foster child...

some of the essays were better than others and there were a few repeating ideas where i thought some could be cut out but overall an interesting read!

the child’s play essay made me uncomfortable though. felt like something that shouldn’t have been published for the kid’s privacy

This book is definitely not meant for me, a person who has to leave the room when anything remotely frightening happens in movies. The essays were interesting and it was lovely to hear from queer people across the board
