Loved as always. Seeing as I finished this month's ago, not a lot of specific comments. I do remember liking the way Eve struggled with the criminal being her victim element.

I got tired of reading this book. It took way too long to get to the conclusion compared to others in the series. I didn't even finish it so I don't even know who did it.

This was another good installment in the series but just a tab too long. I don’t think it needed the distraction of the second non related killing in the middle. There were as always lots of great banter between Eve and Peabody. Plus Roarke and Eve are the best fictional married couple second only to Jaimie and Claire from Outlander.

I'm reading this book AND Fantasy in Death at the same time...because that book is due on the 18th and I can't bare to let the other book just sit there. LOL

I missed this series. It's a good quick read. Roarke's not obnoxious, Peabody & McNab have a moment, and the plot is kinda interesting.

Interesting story with lots of twists. My only real complaint about these books at this point is the token sex scenes. I know a lot of people must like them, but I just skip them now. They're mostly all the same and I read this particular series for the stories, and the characters. I can get my smut elsewhere, like a series where it's not the same two people having sex twice in each book. For like, 40 books.

Eh. This one felt disjointed. And while I liked the idea of two separate cases that seemed to be together, it felt like the Bubba preacher was just added to the book to fill space. Also, again, I realize that Eve had a traumatic childhood, but having it come up at every turn is getting a bit old. I should take a long break from this series for a while. Maybe I'll save the rest until next year.

Enjoyable as always but just too many players. Felt like a needed my own damn murder board to keep track at one point.
