Listen it’s not that this book is bad but it’s hella confusing and lots of plot jumps happen?? It almost felt like I got whiplash trying to read it at certain parts. The smut is … insanity but it’s definitely good

*DO NOT IGNORE THE TRIGGER WARNINGS ON THIS ONE*
I am still processing this book. It was so good. But that ending about took me out! Hard to say much without spoilers. Coming from someone who hates love triangles, we ended up with an unusual one, and I was rooting till the very end for it to turn into why choose. Then the last chapters brought me to my metaphorical knees, and I wanted to weep. So yeah, still processing, and not sure how I feel about the epilogue. I understand the whys, but my heart still yearned for it to be different. All that aside, this book made me FEEL. Its intensity, its rawness, its deep dive into darkness was remarkable. I definitely recommend it for dark romance lovers.

Not only is Ruby one of my favorite people but she also writes BAD@SS Dark Romance books.
If you are in a slump or just looking for an amazing DARK romance, this is it y’all. I read this book last year and I’m literally still obsessing over it. I’m not sure I will ever be over this story. That being said you have been warned that it is DARK and that you will fall madly in love with Teddy.
Teddy is a dangerous, k!nky, caring man that stole my heart and I don’t want it back. Alice (the FMC) grows so much in this book with the help of Teddy and I just love her so much. They trauma bond over and he teaches her to learn to embrace the darkness within.
I’m not going to say much about the plot because honestly this book is just amazing to go into blind but the writing is INCREDIBLE, the emotions that I felt in this book are second to none.
This book takes please right where Folie a Deux ends, so make sure you read that novella first.

I loved this book! I was not prepared for this book, at all. It was a roller coaster and like all of Ruby Medjo’s books high on emotions. Medjo broke my heart and put it back together. I was not expecting to love Teddy as much as I did. How could you do this to me Ruby? Teddy was everything. He was hot, dangerous, and the way he took care of Alice had me swooning. I mean I love the Terror Twins, but Teddy really gave them a run for their money. I loved this book and I highly recommend it. Keep in mind there are a number of kinks and triggers so reader discretion is advised.

I’ve just had my heart ripped out, put back in, and ripped out again like 50 times… but it was so worth it.
First of all, Teddy. I fell SO IN LOVE with Teddy. He deserved so much better in life. Also, the irony of the biggest psycho of them all being named Teddy is not lost on me.
When I say Teddy is the biggest psycho of them all, I wasn’t kidding. Jameson literally describes him as ”He is unlike anyone I’ve ever met before, and although I know the sick things I am capable of, although I know my very cousin Maks is about as psychotic as they come - Teddy overshadows us all. He could rule in Hell without batting an eye, could find solace amongst the brimstone and fire”
So yeah, I’m solidly in team Teddy.
Between the twins, though, I’m still a Tristan girly but I can honestly say I love both Tristan and Jameson, and their dynamic. I honestly think you couldn’t have one without the other, because they balance each other out so well. Also, I almost screamed when I realised that in my previous review I mentioned about the twins being Russian but having super American names, and it was addressed in this book!
