This one took me some time to get into, I found myself putting the book aside and starting something else. But from a certain point on, I was hooked, completely immersed in the stories of Lisey and her husband, Lisey and her sisters and last but not least Scott's story. There's a lot of grief and loss but there's also a lot of love. Very much liked how the stories were told too, going back and forth between three time periods, each part adding to the parts before and preparing for what was to come. Yep, another great one by SK.

Another Great Stephen King book, however not a typical one, so it might not be for the usual fans. Its an interesting love story and kept me flying through the book.

This shit got me fucked up fr omg

I can see why this is King’s personal favourite book he’s ever written. One of the most terrifying and beautiful mediations on love and trauma. I don’t really have anything else to say I just can’t stop crying.

Fabulous book. I read it during my semester so it took me a couple months to get through- would’ve been better if I consistently read it. The language and the deep connection between Scott and Lisey despite his physical absence is insanely strong and beautifully written. It’s thrilling and dark while being equally innocent and mature with small curve balls throughout the story. Amazing read for the story itself but equally for the way it is told.
