I listened to the audiobook version of this book and the narrator did a great job. She has a clear and pleasant voice. I enjoyed this book, it's not my favorite of King's novels but an interesting one. A suspense mystery but not a scary one. A journey into the mind of a troubled family, can certainly bring discussion of mental health. A little of everything in here; love, humor, sadness and self-discovery. I'd say it's worth the read.

Ik had erg veel moeite om door dit boek te komen. De schrijfstijl lijkt helemaal niet op die van King. Ik weet niet of dit door de vertaler komt of dat King een andere stijl probeerden. Ik kon het verhaal vaak niet volgen. Uiteindelijk boeide het net genoeg om het wel uit te lezen. Maar kan het niet aanraden.

Difícil
Muchas palabras y términos que son chistes internos de los dos personajes y que cuesta entenderlos de principio: puñeta, davilas, etc
La violencia no me molesta
Me interesó mucho la historia de Scooter.
Sin embargo podría haber narrado la historia de otra manera, que tenga más sentido y que se entienda mejor.

I did enjoy this story, but I thought it could have been cut down in length by about a third. As much as I love Stephen King's writing, I got it the first or second time, so I didn't need to hear it the third, fourth, or fifth (or more) times. It also really dragged at the end, and it took a supreme effort of will not to skip to the end of the last CD. That being said, the voice acting was excellent. I especially loved young Scott and his father.
