Talk about slow burn! The plot of this is so well written, descriptive and eventful. Who did this to you, found family, enemies to lovers. Ends on a cliff hanger so be prepared!

Mama B is still the only character I really care to learn more about. Diem… you know she’s trying to be … something, which is better than being chaotic as she was in book 1. Henry continues to be a paper napkin.

I enjoyed Glow of the Everflame — it’s the kind of book that’s easy to sink into with its elemental magic, enemies-to-lovers tension, and just the right amount of angst. The world feels familiar in a comforting way, and the main character is likable with a voice that makes you want to follow her.
That said, it did feel a little fluffy at times — more vibes than depth — and some sections dragged a bit when I wanted the plot to move faster. Still, the chemistry and banter kept me engaged, and the emotional moments landed when they needed to.
If you’re in the mood for something with magic, tension, and a bit of heat, but not too heavy or intense, this is a solid choice. It’s not groundbreaking fantasy, but it is a fun, escapist read — especially for fans of romantasy who don’t mind a slightly slower burn.
