I think I just really like Sager’s writing style. This book was so easy to read I literally didn’t put it down until it was over. Also enjoy that in his books there’s an element that isn’t quite 100% realistic but makes for a good plot twist and feels like it makes sense for the book. Even though the main character was a little annoying I did find myself rooting for her. The end even made me reflective about classism.

The last few chapters pushed it up to a 4. Great concept and definitely didn't see it coming. The writing could have been better but I just loved the ending.

Lock Every Door is a spine-tingling thriller bolstered with mystery, character development, and social implications. Jules Larsen has already experienced poverty and tragedy in her young life but hopes that her new, high-paying job as an apartment sitter at the Bartholomew will be her big break. Lock Every Door explores ideas of wealth, power, and (in)equality through the lens of Jules as she uncovers the secrets of the Bartholomew and learns from her past to better her future. I highly recommend reading when you have a lot of time on your hands because you will not want to put it down!

This book was literally insane. Definitely my favorite by Sager so far. I've never read anything like this. What the hell even happened????
challenging dark mysterious tense fast-paced

This was a slow-burn suspense story. The first half dragged a bit and there was a lot of buildup towards the unexpected twist. The twist felt a little too over-the-top for me.

If you like thrillers with a dark, dramatic reveal, it might be worth checking out.
